A Cachoeira do Segredo é uma imponente queda de 115 metros de altura. Aliás, só a caminhada até a enorme queda já é uma atração em si. Além de passar por paisagens do Cerrado muito diferentes, você cruza 14 vezes os rios Segredo e São Miguel, o que permite vários banhos ao longo do trajeto. Guarde fôlego para a piscina natural mais bonita, a duas horas a pé da sede do estacionamento. É quando surge um poço cheio de peixes (alguns bem grandinhos) e uma prainha no canto esquerdo. Aproveite para tomar sol neste lugar, pois não é qualquer um que encara o gelado e profundo Poção do Segredo.

A Cachoeira do Segredo é sem dúvidas, uma das melhores (se não a melhor) atrações da belíssima Chapada dos Veadeiros. São mais de 7 km (só de ida) de trilha passando por paisagens incríveis, cruzando várias vezes os rios (prepare-se para se molhar) e passando por excelentes pontos para banho. Mas o que torna esta cachoeira tão impressionante, além da sua linda queda por entre gigantescos paredões de pedra, é o poço para banho que encontramos alguns quilometros antes da cachoeira. Com tantas belezas juntas, não é difícil entender porque a Cachoeira do Segredo nos encantou e tornou-se uma das cachoeiras preferidas da nossa equipe.
Como Chegar?
O aeroporto mais próximo da Chapada dos Veadeiros é o de Brasília. Por isso, a melhor maneira de chegar até lá é de carro ou ônibus. Partindo da capital federal, que está a cerca de 250 km de Alto Paraíso, o viajante deve pegar a BR 020, em direção a Formosa (GO). Após a cidade de Planaltina, é preciso prestar atenção ao trevo que indica a GO 118, rodovia que leva a Alto Paraíso e passa por São Gabriel e São João D’Aliança. De lá, pegue a GO 327 em direção a Colinas do Sul, percorra 38 km até o Povoado de São Jorge e depois mais 13 km até avistar a placa indicando a Cachoeira do Segredo do seu lado esquerdo.

It is more than 7 km (one-way) of trail through incredible landscapes, crossing the rivers several times (get ready to get wet) and passing through excellent points for bathing. But what makes this waterfall so impressive, apart from its beautiful fall through gigantic stone walls, is the bathtub that we found a few kilometers before the waterfall. With so many beauties together, it is not difficult to understand why Cachoeira do Segredo enchanted us and became one of our team’s favorite waterfalls.
How to get there?
The nearest airport to Chapada dos Veadeiros is Brasília. So the best way to get there is by car or bus. Departing from the federal capital, which is about 250 km from Alto Paraíso, the traveler should take BR 020 towards Formosa (GO).
