O Vale da Lua é um dos pontos mais visitados na Chapada dos Veadeiros, no município de Alto Paraíso de Goiás. É um conjunto de formações rochosas cavadas nas pedras pelas corredeiras de águas transparentes do rio São Miguel.

Localizado logo após a entrada da Vila de São Jorge, em Alto Paraíso de Goiás-GO, o Vale da Lua é uma das provas de que a Chapada dos Veadeiros é muito mais do que somente o Parque Nacional e de que todo o seu entorno é recheado de atrações belíssimas. Ao caminhar pelo local, a impressão é de que estamos realmente em solo lunar, devido aos formatos curiosos das rochas, esculpidas pelo rio São Miguel. Este é o grande diferencial destas pequenas quedas, se não temos a grandeza das quedas mais altas, o charme do local e os belíssimos poços para banho tornam o Vale do Lua um passeio inesquecível.
Como Chegar?
O aeroporto mais próximo da Chapada dos Veadeiros é o de Brasília. Por isso, a melhor maneira de chegar até lá é de carro ou ônibus. Partindo da capital federal, que está a cerca de 250 km de Alto Paraíso, o viajante deve pegar a BR 020, em direção a Formosa (GO). Após a cidade de Planaltina, é preciso prestar atenção ao trevo que indica a GO 118, rodovia que leva a Alto Paraíso e passa por São Gabriel e São João D’Aliança. De lá, pegue a GO 327 (parcialmente asfaltada e parte em estrada de terra) em direção a Colinas do Sul e antes de chegar a Vila de São Jorge entrar a esquerda (existem placas indicando o Vale da Lua).

How to get there?
The nearest airport to Chapada dos Veadeiros is Brasília. So the best way to get there is by car or bus. Departing from the federal capital, which is about 250 km from Alto Paraíso, the traveler should take BR 020 towards Formosa (GO).
